Personal Background
Carrie E. Houtz was born and raised in Centerville, Ohio. She attended Incarnation Grade School and Archbishop Alter High School. She then attended Bowling Green State University where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology. While at BGSU, Carrie was active in Delta Gamma Sorority and intramural sports. Carrie next obtained her Master’s Degree from Barry University in Miami, FL. She was awarded a Masters of Clinical Medical Sciences in Physician Assistant Studies. Carrie is married to Joshua Houtz, a City of Dayton Firefighter/Paramedic. They have one daughter. Carrie enjoys running, hiking, horseback riding, music, and spending time with family. Carrie has been working at the Orthopaedic Center since 2007.
